I really like this site (Blogthings) and lots of its quizzes.

You Should Be a Social Worker
You are deeply caring and empathetic.
You are able to take on other people's problems as if they were your own.
Sensitive and intuitive, you understand human emotions well.
Helping others gives you the most joy in life. You feel like it's your purpose in life.

You do best when you:

- Have a lot of responsibility
- Greatly impact someone's life with your work

You would also be a good philanthropist or stay at home parent.
Hmm..

Your Socks Say You're Cute

You Are:

- Quite cuddly

- Downright adorable

- Truly kind

- Infinitely patient

Yes. :) But not infinitely..It depends.

You Should Date An Italian!

You love for old fashioned romance, with an old fashioned guy

An Italian guy is the perfect candidate to be your prince charming

If your head doesn't spin enough, just down another espresso with him

Invest in a motorcycle helmet - and some carb blocker for all that pasta!

Ahh, ok! :) It's a good thing they are neighbours!

Your Power Bird is a Dove

Deep and emotional, you can connect well with almost any living creature.

You bring hope and optimism to any dire situation.

You are both gentle and affectionate with everyone you love.

Truly nurturing, most people consider you to be a mother figure.

Ah, is this why I see so many birds of this kind? What do you think, [info]gold_dragontsu? :)

Your Heart Is Green
Love completes you, but that doesn't mean you seek it out. When love comes your way, you integrate it peacefully into the rest of you life. Your flirting style: Laid back Your lucky first date: Walking around aimlessly and talking Your dream lover: Is both enthusiastic and calm What you bring to relationships: Balance

And...

Which Friend Are You Quiz on tbs.com

Your personality: Like Chandler, you consider yourself the only "normal" member of your social group. And considering how strange your parents were, that's quite an achievement. Always keeping a sense of humor, your intelligence shows in your quick retorts and use of sarcasm. Despite your hard shell, however, you have surprising depths of emotion and sympathy, proving to be an excellent friend.

Take them, take them!

Btw, sorry, the cut didn't work.

Blah blah...

house

Hey! I am back from our one week vacation in Chanioti, Chalkidiki (north Greece-but souther than my city). I relaxed for a few days at home and then my dad and I went to grandma's summer house for 2 days. It was nice.

Today I woke up at 9 am o_o because we have workers here. They are painting our walls. We had some damage because of the humidity. And of course time did its own damage.
I was tidying up my room (at my own slow speed), but I stopped and started moving everything that was close to the walls. Now a great number of possessions lie on my bed, the floor is full of stuff as well and all the posters have been removed (and they are a lot).

I really wonder how they are gonna be able to paint my room.. It is small but loaded. The bed is right in the middle (which makes the room even smaller) and the bookcase takes a lot of space and I don't think they can move it. The wardrobe is also big.

My room is super dirty but all of this is good, since we'll be able to clean it well afterwards. Plus, now that I am moving things, I am able to take a look, find and throw stuff. And I will redecorate! The furniture will stay put, because they can't go anywhere else anyway. I love having posters, so the walls, the door and the wardrobe will soon have company again. But I'm gonna change them. Also, I'm thinking of putting more frames with pictures of me, family and friends. We'll see.

I hope they'll be done soon. I'm already bored.
:P

Now, I want to ask you something. Do you shop on-line? Elaborate please.
Amazon seems appealing to me. And it's cheap, isn't it? I think I need to get a special credit card with a specific (low) amount of money. So that we won't have any unpleasant surprises.

Kisses!

:P

Dear [info]acciomagic,
Our romance is over. It was the 1st of May, in your camping car, when you pulled the toupee off my avocado plant. I was scarred. You can understand that there is no solution to this. The pictures from LA, your criminal record...I will always try to forget our friendship.
Greetings to your freaky family.

Mamma mia!

  • Jul. 13th, 2008 at 3:02 PM
whoo-hoo

I was soo looking forward to watching "Mamma mia" in the cinema and I did last Saturday(I think so; I seem to lose track of time in the summer). I've seen the trailers many many times and I love them. The movie came out here on July 3rd. :)

A., M. and I went to a summer cinema(which I had never seen before) and I realised I had never gone to a summer cinema in the city. Only in holiday resorts. I would really prefer a winter cinema. With its comfortable seats, and the cool temperature and its giving you the chance to HEAR AND SEE PROPERLY! I mean, a woman's head was blocking half of the subtitles and I could not always hear the actors to understand what they were saying. But the ice-cream I ate calmed me down a bit. :P

Anyway, I liked the movie. Ok, so the plot wasn't anything spectacular. But I loved the songs and the way the actors sang(I want that soundtrack!). Whoever likes Abba's songs(like me), just had to sing along. It was all very summery and the landscapes of Greece were amazing! Of course, I also wanted to see my lovely Colin Firth and he was so great! My friends heard me say: "Aww!" a lot. I found him very attractive. One of my favourite scenes was the one where they all sing "Dancing queen", which is probably my fav Abba song. Meryl Streep was enjoyable, Amanda was much prettier than in "Mean girls" and she had a beautiful voice.

And HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to Cindy aka [info]inmymcdreams ! Hope you are spending a wonderful time! ;)

Quizzes

loreal
I felt like taking some quizzes. Take (some of) them! And I expect full results. ;)

Take this test!
Sales representative? No way. Chemical engineer? Not you. With a big heart and a natural knack for smooth-talking, there's no doubt that you could go head-to-head with Angelina Jolie for best humanitarian. Whether you're smoothing over a fight between feuding friends or solving the stickiest of situations, you somehow manage to keep even-keeled under the heaviest of pressures. That's why the perfect job for you would be making sure that people all over the world are happy, healthy, and safe.

And while there may be a lot of competition on the international stage, this world could still use all the caretakers it can get. So make sure to take your heart wherever you go! Believe it — no matter where you work, your coworkers will be glad you're there.

Haha, I found this very funny! No one that knows me well would ever think of me as an ambassador(and neither would I).

You Are a Ring Finger

You are romantic, expressive, and hopeful. You see the best in everything.

You are very artistic, and you see the world as your canvas. You are also drawn to the written word.

Inventive and unique, you are often away in your own inner world.

You get along well with: The Pinky

Stay away from: The Index Finger

Yes, yes. And I am in my own inner world. I hope you guys are not the index finger!

What Your Flip Flops Say About You

You are hopeful and romantic. You love many people and many things.

You aren't unrealistic, but you do imagine things in the most ideal way possible.

You are a dreamer. If something exists, you've probably thought about it.

You don't think about what is, you think about what could be.

Your ideal warm weather place: Fiji

Sure, everything accurate. Fiji, huh? Ok...

What Your Sleeping Position Says

You are secretly sensitive, but you often put up a front.

Shy and private, you yearn for security.

You take relationships slowly.

You need lots of reassurances before you can trust.

If you don't get enough sleep, you are: Cranky and a big baby

It's hard to sleep next to you because: You are a light sleeper

Yes. Hehe, I also pull the sheets all the time...

What These Orchids Say About You

You are exotic and intricately beautiful.

You possess a unique grace that's both delicate and strong.

You are thoughtful and refined. You are the definition of class.

Intricately beautiful...I liked that. :) Very interesting.

And I discovered I like orchids after watching the film 'The perfect man'. ;)

My Sims are crazy!

  • Jan. 29th, 2008 at 7:45 PM
hello kitty
It's true that I simply love Sims 2. In fact, I get very attached to some of the people I make. I make my friends and family Sims. That's always special. I have made so far my best friends and two of my cousins Sims. Of course I attempt to make them look alike. Then they get married, they have children and oh, I am so happy for them! Sentimental and all...

There are some problems though. My game is a copy and probably because of that, I am not able to build anything. That's the permanent problem. What else? I am giving you examples.

The Heyton family: the couple has 3 children and I want one more. They try for a baby, I hear the song and I'm thinking:"Oh, la la, she is pregnant!" And I play, I play several times after that and I see no change, no belly, nothing! What the...? Can somebody explain? It's so pity, I wanted them to have 4 children. She got sterile?!?
A minor problem that occurs only with one family; out of nowhere a food delivery person appears next to the door and stands there...he doesn't move and I can't shoo him or anything! And he really gets on my nerves. In the end, I press 'help' and I delete him but then someone else comes out of the blue!!! X(  They scare me!
In the March 2 Family I had called the headmaster, he came and then disappeared! I call again and nobody comes.
In another family, the nanny wouldn't leave. She even took showers and slept in the bosses' bedroom. I had to delete her inevitably...

One of the Sims I made is my cousin Dimitra, who has 6 kids in her Sims life. In real life, she is 5 months older than me, definitely not married or with children...and currently mad at me for absolutely stupid reasons. Anyway, her oldest daughter(Mary) is married (with the son of my friend Kat) and has two children. I wanted to have a birthday party for her little one who was about to become a toddler. I did it over 4 times because every time sth happened and ruined it all. So I was thinking that this would be the last and perfect time...The baby(Ashley) successfully became a toddler, everyone was happy and then the guests were playing with Ashley...And then Mary's brother, Thanos, was holding the baby and he suddenly said: "It's time to go." (or whatever they say). So he left with the toddler! And Ashley's icon on the left side disappeared! :O I didn't save it of course!

Ha! I've just done that and I liked the result so I am posting it. :-) I would be happy to see yours.

My pirate name is:

Mad Mary Flint

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

In other news, today I wrote my Biology test and it definitely was better than History. Of course. The good thing was that they let us leave earlier so I had only 4 school hours instead of 7. The bad thing was that I didn't have the chance to see him much. Only once before the test. But he made me more optimistic.

This male has made my life great. I owe him so much. And he doesn't even know it. Ironic or what? I realised that formerly I used to pretend sometimes that I didn't care when I saw him. Sometimes. Now I don't hide my tenderness, my smile...Like today. Time is running. And I don't understand why I shouldn't show my love. Love is the greatest gift as it says in my journal...

Edited: Yeah, I don't know why it looks like that. Stupid box. Whatever, I wanted to add that from now on I take my anti-stress spray with me at school. And I used it before the test. My dad bought it for me. It's not a drug or anything. It's natural. Hehe.

New Year's Eve and cousin

  • Dec. 31st, 2007 at 5:56 PM
hello kitty

I am exhausted. Downtown with mum from 1.10 p.m. until 5 something. And I didn't sit once. Walking, walking...I don't like walking. Hundreds of people there doing their last-minute shopping (like us). I don't like crowded places. But I lke buying presents especially for Christmas and New Year's.
I know what I am receiving from my parents so it's not a surprise. It doesn't matter. It's so nice seeing all the presents under the tree. I will write what I get next time along with the things I bought from Athens.
My hands still have perfumes. I was trying to figure out which one to buy for my mum. I want to wash them.

I wrote two rough-and-ready letters to the actors I met today. But they need rewriting. I am gonna send them to the address of the theatre and I hope they will be given to them. *fingers crossed*

Tonight we are going to my aunt's. I think it's nice to be with family when the year changes. My cousin is one year younger. We used to be quite close. But then...I don't know. She became very...teenager and she forgot about her cousins. I always knew we were different. She was more sociable, naughty, crazy, energetic...but suddenly our differences became very clear. She hangs out with her friends all the time, we lost contact...I was her favourite cousin. Supposedly...She was not my favourite but it still hurts. I didn't even tell her about my...love. I am glad.
I bought a nice chocolate (slurp!) soap (!) for me and I thought of giving it to her. I am sure she will have nothing for me though. Does she deserve it?

Weird dream today. I was with my friends-classmates at a party and we were very excited. We usually don't go to parties. And then I was at school with some strangers and I was waiting to take a test or something. There were different tasks for everyone. The girl before me was asked to draw two trees. So I was optimistic. But when it was my turn, the teacher asked me: "Do you know about Kama Sutra?" *rolling eyes* I said 'no' and she said 'too bad'. Anyway, she asked the related question and I didn't understand a thing but anyway somebody interrupted us and then I woke up. *no comments*

I want to eat a cheese pie now.
Happy New year to all of you!

Back from Athens!

  • Dec. 29th, 2007 at 12:47 PM
hello kitty
I'm alive! YES! It's a relief really. I came home yesterday. And I was so happy to return even though the temperature in our flat was 15 degrees Celcius and I had to go around covered with a blanket. I had a great time in Athens but I prefer trips that last only a few days because I get easily bored and miss my home. And almost 6 days was too much for me. But anyway...let's not complain right now..

The flights were quite fine. We used the subway there a lot. That's the only transportation I enjoy.
I actually wanted to go to Athens this year for a very specific reason. To make a dream come true. I am very fond of some actors. And I have always dreamed of meeting my favourite ones. We have been spending our holidays in the capital of Greece for the past 5 years at least. Every year it is a must to go to the theatres and watch my favourite actors perform.  And after the play we go to the greenrooms and I see them face-to-face. This year I had to see two guys that I first saw on TV in 2003. They were playing in one of my favourite Greek series. One year later they were playing in another series, perhaps the most successful Greek one ever(one of them is also the scriptwriter;he is so talented). I loved them both. And this year I learnt that they would be playing together in the theatre. That was it. I had to see them. And I DID! *squeeeeeeeeee*

The theatre was very small and we were in the first seats. I was so deeply moved when they came out. They were so close to us! I wanted to cry...The play was great and very funny. And then we went to the greenrooms. We were the second ones to enter. They were so cute and sweet! Such nice boys! Well, they are around 30 but anyway. They were smiling at me, talking to me, they gave me an autograph and my dad took a picture of me with them! AAAAAAAAA! I was really rapturous (hm, nice word!) after that! The first night was the best one! Now I have seen all of my favourite actors! And 3 of them twice! :D
That was the highlight of our trip to Athens.
I will write again to say what I got from Athens.

It 's the first day of holidays and I already miss him. *sigh* I can't believe I'm writing this but I would prefer to go to school on Monday and see him. God, how pathetic am I ?
Today I went downtown with my best friend and I got presents for my parents. Cosmetics for mum and two after shaves for dad (he likes practical  gifts!). I gave them some minutes ago. They liked them. My mum is quite expressive and I like looking at her while she is opening a present. Oh, I gave the presents tonight because we are leaving in a few hours. We are flying to Athens for Christmas. They are going to buy me presents from there.
Now, flying...that's one of the things that make me really scared...I have travelled quite many times by plane but every time I feel the same. I am an earth person, guys!  I am not okay with air! And I've only travelled to Athens, which is a 40-minute flight. How will I travel abroad? Anyway, I am terrified! I wish I could Apparate! But that wasn't so comfortable according to Harry Potter and Rowling's description. It lasted a few seconds though. Maybe by a Portkey? Or Floo Powder. Perhaps. So many choices! I dont' like out transportation!

I watched 'Anastasia' in the afternoon. I love this film! I watched 'Bend it like Beckham'  with my cousin a few hours ago. I like it. And now I am watcing 'Miss Congeniality 2'. It's ok but the first "miss" was better.

We go to Athens every year around Christmas time. I am getting some pictures of the man of my life with me. They were taken by my friend Y. at school. She used her mobile phone. They were a little distant and vague but other than that...What else can I ask for? She can't go in front of him and say: "Smile!" I guess I will miss him less that way.
I should really finish packing. So I hope I'll survive. If I don't update, it means I died. Merry Christmas to everyone!

I forgot to write that on Friday I had a test in Physics. Yeah...Everything was quite ok at first but then..came the big exercise and everything was ruined...Oh,well..But it did snow at night! Yay! I actually didn't see it with my own eyes but on Saturday I did. We went shopping and I could feel the snowflakes on my skin while walking. It was great. And then it stopped. Two days;that was it? We'll see. I bought a 'Smallville' DVD (season 3), some clothes and an old Shakira CD.
On Monday I was writing a test in Ancient Greek. An unknown text in ancient Greek and we had to translate it, find a conditional...There were also some grammar and syntactic exercises. If you think that it was easy, you are badly mistaken. Thank God, I had no lessons on Tuesday. The teachers had elections. The break was essential. I found the time to relax and study for my two tests that I had today.

Today. first lesson:Physical Education. It was nice, which -you've got to know- is a weird sentence for me to say considering my hatred for the specific subject. The teacher is more lenient this year and he lets us play whatever we want. So, my friend and I thought of badminton. I was horrible when I first tried to play (but maybe something was wrong with the ball :P ) but lately I've discovered that I can be pretty good sometimes. Finally, something that I can do right in P.E! It was invigorating and I was less stressed later when it was time for the English test. I don't know why I have to be stressed about everything...even English. I am probably used to it. I did well except for the word "inadvertently" that I didn't know and something in Key Word Transformation.  At least, I learnt a word. Anyway, the important test was up next; in Ancient Greek again but that was different kind. The text now was from the book and the exercises had to do with text analysis and language. I was very nervous before that but somebody helped...without knowing it. I was standing with my friends somewhere I could see him. When the bell rang, I made sure that I looked at lot at him. He gave me strength.

And now my father is at school because the teachers are informing  the parents about our progress today. And I am supposed to be studying History but...I am really bored...and History makes me sleepy...

I am not a fan. I have neither read the book nor watched the movie. But thanks to my friend [info]shikatemalove, I decided to take the test that can be found in the site (which is pretty interesting by the way) and found out that my daemon is...

Seriously...a spider? That's gross. But anyway, I think the description is accurate. Thalius...ok...why not?Who are yours?

A nice story

  • Dec. 14th, 2007 at 5:55 PM
little girl

I saw this story in Greek. One classmate of mine had found it on the Internet. I don't know who wrote it originally so as to give credit. I translated myself in English;don't judge me for any mistakes.

I found it sweet. And I completely agree on the last sentence.

In other news, today ...oh, my God...it was freaking cold!!! I am looking outside the window and the wind is so strong...I don't like this weather. I hope it will snow though. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Remember the "scary" History teacher? Today we spent the whole lesson talking calmly to her, expressing our complaints about her and thoughts. She did the same. It was a nice and- I want to believe- effective conversation. She was very understanding;I knew I liked her for a reason. I didn't say a word ( I always sit and listen to the others) but I thought that my classmates were unfair at some(or most) points. They were accusing her of things but nobody even mentioned how noisy they are during the lesson every time. I often find myself agreeing more with my teachers than with my classmates.
Ok, I am going offline. I want to spend some time with my Sims 2 families...Bye.

Get to know me...and you

  • Dec. 13th, 2007 at 6:23 PM
hello kitty

I posted an entry in "find LJ friends" (activity-get to know me). And I thought of sharing my questions and answers with you. So read and reply to them, if you feel interested.

1) What kind of invention would you like to see in a few years?
A device with a small screen that will have the answers to any questions I type. But maybe it would be wiser to be the only one to have it.

2) What would you do if you had 500 Euros right now?
I would buy a new video camera. Ours is old, big, heavy and doesn't work very well. (Actually it is likely that we've thrown it away) Plus, I love making video recordings. And with the rest of the money I would buy some books/CDs/DVDs.

3) Who are your favourite fictional characters and why?
Hermione Granger from Harry Potter because she is very clever, mature, a good friend...Monica Geller from Friends because she is not only mature, a good listener, supportive and helpful friend, but also a little crazy and obsessive;I think it's a good combination.

4) What do you do that makes your friends complain?
I like taking a lot of pictures of them, which they find quite annoying. And I talk a lot about someone special...

5) What career seemed appealing to you when you were younger?
Writer and actress. I still find them appealing but I wouldn't become an actress;I am too shy.

water, history and weird sound

  • Dec. 11th, 2007 at 6:16 PM
whoo-hoo
Why do I keep having glasses full of water on my desk? I wonder. Well, because it is next to my bed and water is sometimes nice during the night. But why don't I remove it every time I turn my PC on? I wonder again. Because I am naive.Or too lazy. Once I accidentally pushed it a little and next thing I knew...all the water lied on me. More than once I found my left sleeve wet and the source was the same. And now I am sitting here with my feet on the bed because the floor underneath me is full of water and  fragments. Damn! It was a nice glass. ~I wasn't gonna write about that but it happened out of the blue and it inspired me.

Today at school...I got 94/100 in History! Yeah, baby! I agree with the teacher that the questions were kind of ridiculously easy. I could have got 100. The one "mistake" was not a mistake basically. It was all her fault really. The other one was -I admit- just stupid of me since I knew the right one.  And while I was thinking that she was very strict about that, she announced: "And my grading was very lenient!" Ha ha! Yeah, I saw that, Mrs! Is she crazy or something? Anyway, I feel proud of myself since I am not good at History and I wrote so well without cheating (I never cheat anyway).  All of a sudden , she became very angry at some students probably because of something related to the test . And then a mobile phone rang. Dead silence. And she was about to explode. If it had been a movie, smokes would have come out of her ears at that moment. Thank God, she didn't start screaming. But she threw a poor girl(that had the phone under her desk) out. Then my classmates were upset and sticked up for her but the teacher was adamant. They were all loud..it was ugly. Afterwards everyone calmed down and she started teaching the next chapter. In addition, I answered a question for the first time and I think she knows my name now! So, it was a good day for me history-wise. Don't anger her, people! She is nice when we are nice.

Furthermore, yesterday when I turned my computer on, I heard a weird sound coming from it. I was innocent! I hadn't done anything! It happened just like that. It had actually happened in summer. But it was a natural side effect since I had kicked it before. So I was worried. Until it stopped. But I hear it again every time I turn it on! It's quite intense at first and then...it stops. What could that mean? God!

Now...where is the mop?

little girl
I usually have 4 lessons every Thursday this year. But today I had 3 because a teacher couldn't come. Yay! I spent the first lesson being focused yet sleepy, the second lesson( History!) being extremely bored and thinking that my special someone had a lesson closer to me than in a very long time, and my Maths lesson wondering as most of the times "What the hell is he writing on that board?". And then I heard we are free to go. I was happy but on the other hand, I wanted to stay and see him.

So I was leaving with my friend G. when my friend A. shouted at me to come back to see him in the yard. I couldn't resist the temptation(sometimes I find it hard to locate him!). I walked out on G.(oops!) and followed A. There he was, in an outfit that I adore...So I stayed somewhat obviously near him and I was talking innocently with my friends. What's the harm in that? Hehe! In addition, I was staring at him now and then, saying stupid things to my friends just so that I would look occupied and was changing position whenever he was moving in order to see him. I don't care if it was obvious, I don't care if he understood. He'd better...

Now, I don't want to write all the time about him so I am posting some of my recent results in these tests. Take them, too!

You Are a Fruitcake

People pretend you're sweet and precious, but they know how weird you really are!

Hehe, that's totally true!

You Are a Mermaid

You are a total daydreamer, and people tend to think you're flakier than you actually are.
While your head is often in the clouds, you'll always come back to earth to help someone in need.
Beyond being a caring person, you are also very intelligent and rational.
You understand the connections of the universe better than almost anyone else.

Yes, why not?

Your Love is Represented by a White Rose

While you may or may not be totally naive, you do approach love with an eternal innocence.
You love like you've never been hurt. And you put all your faith in your partner.
Your philosophy on love is: be honest and be yourself.

I don't know...Hm...Shikatemalove, I need your opinion on these ones!

Monster!

hello kitty
Ok, something different now to lighten the mood. What kind of monster am I?

You Are a Werewolf

You're unpredictable, moody, and downright freaky.
You seem sweet and harmless, until you snap. Then you're a total monster.
Very few people can predict if you're going to be Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde.
But for you, all your transformations seem perfectly natural.

Your greatest power: Your ability to tap into nature

Your greatest weakness: Lack of self control

You play well with: Vampires

They are correct! So, I guess I am a werewolf! Hello, Remus Lupin!
